This is my photography diary

This is my online diary, to help me collate my visual art. I will be sharing my images and tips on here for photography. I will start by showing some work that I have recently completed, along with descriptions of what these images are and mean! I am new to photography, and I am hoping that this blog will capture my progress as well as become a place where i can keep all my research. I am currently working towards my Silver Trinity Art Awards, and I am hoping this blog will become part of my submission for this award!

Poster For Client

Today I have been working on a commission for Happy Memories play centre in Hyde! They have asked that I help produce a poster for an upcoming event that they have planned!

I began by researching online to view posters used by other events, this inspired me to for a wild west theme! The poster will be used by Happy Memories to advertise their upcoming BBQ event!

Printing Photography!

Currently I am looking at where I can get my images printed for the exhibition. I need high quality prints as the work will be exhibited and it needs to look its best! I have a local printer called PrintIt, who may be able to produce images at A3, the size I am considering for the exhibited images!

Framed – I like the way this one looks and like the frame.

Mount Board – I don’t really like this one, and it doesn’t really go well with the images I have either.

Suspended – I like this one but again, I don’t really think it goes well with the images I have.

Canvas – I love this one, and it goes well with the images too.

Final Poster Design for Exhibition.

This is now my final design I am going to use to advertise my upcoming exhibition! The exhibition will be held in the upstairs room at the centre where I have my classes, on Syddall Street, Hyde. The exhibition will be open to the public every Sunday and Saturday! I will invigilate the exhibition for a few of the days that the exhibition is open, and I will arrange invigilators to cover the other days.

The Exhibition will be a visual exploration of the legend of the wizard! The work will include photography, sculpture and video! Opening on the 1st of August, I am hoping to begin the advertisement today.

These are some objects that I put together from the places the wizard has been.
I found all of these objects from the wizard and put them together to look like a nest.
On this object i have panted some runes on the stone.
On this on I have panted a waterfall on the stone like the waterfall from the wizard.
In all of these images I have edited them in black and white and took the images with my camera in a lightbox.
